Lessons
$25.00

Ages 5-10 (walk, trot)

During these beginner lessons your child will learn all the basics of horsemanship.  The first 15 minutes is spent learning safety around horses, how to groom and prepare the horse for the ride.  They will also begin to learn the parts of the horse and tack.  The other 45 minutes is spent learning the basics of riding. (how to steer, stop, back etc.)  Younger children will be attached to a lead or longe line until they are able to ride on their own.

Ages 10+ Beginner (walk, trot, lope)

During these beginner lessons children and adults will learn all the basics of horsemanship.  During the first few lessons they will spend 15 minutes learning safety, grooming and preparing the horse for the ride.  Once they can prepare the horse on their own the full hour will be spent riding.  Both children and adults will advance at their own pace and only move up to the lope when they are 100% confident at the walk and trot.

Ages 10+ Intermediate to Advanced

These students will be working on a variety of different things depending on their discipline.  We do everything from advanced groundwork, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, trail, patterns, jumping and reining.  These lessons are tailored for each individual's choices and skill levels.

Meet my lesson horses!

April

April is an 11-year-old Paint mare.  She is very well bred and is of show quality.  She has APHA points and many years of lesson and show experience.  I have owned April since she was a yearling.  April is used for all ages and skill levels.  She is a great beginner horse but also excels at Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Horsemanship and Trail.  She is used for advanced riders who would like to compete in these events.

Tanner

Tanner is an 11-year-old Gelding.  He is not registered but is a Buckskin/Pinto.  I have only owned Tanner for about 6 months but have known him and trained him off and on for the last 7 years.  Tanner is a great horse for advanced riders.  He's a lot more quick and reactive than April which makes him more of a challenge for the experienced riders.  Tanner excels at any discipline.  He can go slow and do the Western Pleasure, horsemanship, and trail.  He also likes to go fast for the speed events.

Ditto

Ditto is a 7-year-old Quarter Horse gelding.  He is around 15 hands.  I have known and trained Ditto for four years.  He will be used for intermediate to advanced students.  Ditto is a very versatile horse but will excel in the Western events.  He is safe and quiet and has a nice slow jog and lope.  Picture coming soon!
